Seattle Maternity Session {Rachael Kruse}

It's a girl! I'm 7 months pregnant with our first child and have been dying to try some new maternity ideas. I took advantage of the dreamy light in my bedroom this afternoon and  jumped in front of the camera... while still manning the camera from behind :) Let me tell you, this process takes some skill and a lot of patience. Making sure I was in focus was a task in itself, and I had no idea if the pose I was trying would work, so it was a lot of up and down on this one.

Thanks for checking out my photos! And to all my friends and family in Oregon... I'm growing and she will be here soon!

On a magical sunny day this last fall, I say magical because it's not often sunny in Seattle, I looked at my husband and said, "come on, we can't miss our chance at great light!" I dragged him up the hill from our house to get these next two photos. We used one for our announcement/ Christmas card to tell our friends that we were having a girl. And yes, a tripod and remote works wonders for taking your own photos.

I will leave you with these last few. My brother was actually wonderful and took them for me a few weeks ago when we went to Sunriver, OR for a long weekend in the snow with some friends

Fishermen's Terminal Session {Justin + Kim} Seattle Engagement Photographer

  Rachael Kruse Photography

I know I've done this a bit backwards, as I have previously posted this gorgeous couples wedding post HERE. I was too excited to wait. So here it is -Justin & Kim's engagement session!

Once again J+K gave me full creativity - I love it! I took these two to the fisherman's terminal in Ballard, a gem of Seattle if you ask me. We also had plans to head to Golden Garden Park (their wedding location), but sadly it started to rain. We did however manage to get a few in the sweet walk through tunnel.
